My first yoga class was at the invitation of a friend. It wasn’t love at the first sight because I gave up halfway through the class. But I had a very good sleep after that! For someone who had insomnia, I was amazed with how my body felt after attending only half the session so I kept going back for more. Slowly but surely, yoga helped me balance my life.
More than physical, yoga improves my spirituality. It grounds me. It centers me. It reminds me that I am enough and it makes me the best possible version of me that I can be.
I teach yoga because it allows me to share with others the joy of what my practice has brought me.
After practising yoga for 15 years, I was so passionate about sharing its benefits that I left my corporate job to teach it. I believe yoga is about the evolution of self, not comparison with others.

My first yoga class was in 2015. Prior to that, I’ve always had this assumption that yoga was only for flexible individuals but that first class experience corrected my misconception. I felt a sense of peace and joy, and have not looked back since!
As I practised more, my flexibility improved along with my strength. Yoga inspires me on and off the mat to live each moment mindfully. It brought calmness to the mind and body. These days as an instructor, my goal is to enable my students to attain the benefits of yoga via accomplishing the correct alignments and postures, providing them with hands-on help when needed. I strive to create a welcoming and inviting element where at the end of the session; the students would have achieved a sense of rejuvenation and inspiration.
Practice makes comfort. Remember to practise regularly and soon enough, everything will flow.
I am a passionate yogi who fell in love with the practice since my first yoga class, and I haven't looked back. I love the slow flow Vinyasa that emphasises alignment, connecting breath with body movement.
Practice should be 70% doing the asanas and 30% observation and breath. I aim to teach students how to find peace within themselves and to find flexibility in the body through yoga!
I discovered yoga while working in a fast-paced environment. Ten years into my job, I was burnt out, disillusioned by the industry. I was looking for something more meaningful. There was a studio near my house where I began taking classes. It started with two days a week, but within three months, I was a daily student. I started to prioritise yoga first before my work, trying to get to my favorite classes all the time, and very quickly, I realized my yoga was more important than my job.
Practicing yoga helps me to push myself out of my comfort zone, to be more focus. My favourite mantra for myself: If you don’t try, you will never know. So come and share your energy and your yoga journey with me!
