My first yoga class was at the invitation of a friend. It wasn’t love at the first sight because I gave up halfway through the class. But I had a very good sleep after that! For someone who had insomnia, I was amazed with how my body felt after attending only half the session so I kept going back for more. Slowly but surely, yoga helped me balance my life.
More than physical, yoga improves my spirituality. It grounds me. It centers me. It reminds me that I am enough and it makes me the best possible version of me that I can be.
I teach yoga because it allows me to share with others the joy of what my practice has brought me.

I discovered yoga while working in a fast-paced environment. Ten years into my job, I was burnt out, disillusioned by the industry. I was looking for something more meaningful. There was a studio near my house where I began taking classes. It started with two days a week, but within three months, I was a daily student. I started to prioritise yoga first before my work, trying to get to my favorite classes all the time, and very quickly, I realized my yoga was more important than my job.
Practicing yoga helps me to push myself out of my comfort zone, to be more focus. My favourite mantra for myself: If you don’t try, you will never know. So come and share your energy and your yoga journey with me!

I began my first yoga class with a birthday gift from my daughter when she was a student. Practicing yoga is a journey of self-discovery. It’s not about achieving perfection but about being present. It enhances not only the flexibility and strength of my body but also that of my mind.
Someone I respect once said, “What’s yoga? Yoga is how you take off your shoes.” Indeed, yoga is a reflection of life. For me, there is no such thing as the best; instead, we should always strive to be better.

With a background in customer service since 2018, she possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills. Erny joined LAVA Hot Yoga Studio in October 2024, eager to utilize her abilities and bring smiles to all members who walk through the door!

Izzah joined LAVA Hot Yoga in December 2023, shortly after graduating from Ngee Ann Polytechnic with a Diploma in Optometry.
With a strong interest in pursuing further studies in Physiotherapy, Izzah is eager to expand her knowledge of the wellness industry. She is dedicated to providing all members with the best possible experience at the studio while gaining valuable hands-on experience.

She began her career as a student care teacher but soon discovered her true passion for front-facing roles, where she could connect with and support others more directly.
Wanting to be part of a more active and health-focused environment, Ellie transitioned to the fitness industry to help people kickstart their wellness journeys.
She is trained to welcome members at both the Great World and Clarke Quay locations and is always friendly, approachable, and committed to making every member feel right at home.

Nissa joined LAVA Hot Yoga Studio in July 2021 as the Operations and Marketing Manager and was promoted to Director in April 2022. She has a strong background in hospitality and is passionate about creating positive guest experiences. Her diverse experience in both the hotel and wellness industries provides her with a unique blend of skills and knowledge in her current role.
As the Director, Nissa oversees all aspects of studio operations to ensure the best experience for members. Nissa is dedicated to fulfilling LAVA's motto: to make as many people happy through hot yoga and fitness!

Sherine discovered yoga during the COVID-19 pandemic when lockdown stress led her to search for inner peace. Since April 2024, she has been leading various classes at LAVA Hot Yoga Studio at Great World.
Her philosophy is simple: "You don't have to be flexible or a pro to do yoga." Yoga is accessible to everyone, regardless of experience. It's not about showcasing perfect poses or demonstrating strength. Instead, it's about doing what feels good for your body; that's the essence of yoga.
Wanting to spread the positivity of how wellness has integrated into her daily life, she has upgraded her skills to lead Pilates Reformer classes at Clarke Quay!

Rahman has been practising #martialarts for over 8 years and coaching for more than 6 years. His experience as a competitor has given him a wealth of knowledge about the sport, which he incorporates into his teaching.
Having been crowned the 2019 National Champion in kickboxing and placing 17th in the World Championships in Sarajevo, Rahman is confident that he can provide you with the best guidance in your kickboxing and EMS training journey!

Meet Sara, the friendly face of LAVA Hot Yoga Studio at Great World since March 2024. Sara is dedicated to ensuring your comfort and taking care of all your inquiries and requests at the reception.
In her free time, Sara loves hitting the gym for some empowering weightlifting sessions that keep her energised and free from negativity. Now, Sara is excited to bring her passion for wellness to the next level by leading our Pilates Reformer classes at Clarke Quay.

Putra started out as a beauty advisor and then led creative teams in beauty marketing before jumping into the world of edutainment at KidZania—turning learning into fun for kids through live performances.
In 2021, he stepped out of his comfort zone (and onto a mat) with his first Acro Yoga class. That same year, he joined a yoga studio as a receptionist and never looked back.
Now a Studio Manager at LAVA FitnessPutra brings the energy as he leads kickboxing and Pilates classes—with his signature fun, bubbly vibe front and centre!

Before joining LAVA, he worked as a brand ambassador at Anytime Fitness, where he developed a passion for motivating others on their fitness journeys.

Previously, he served as a firefighter with the Singapore Airport Emergency Services and worked as a lifeguard at Wild Wild Wet. Driven by a personal commitment to healthier living, Faiz made the transition to the fitness industry to inspire and support others on their fitness journeys.
Known for his bubbly and approachable personality, he fosters a welcoming and high-energy environment in which clients feel motivated, supported, and empowered to achieve their goals.

He is a certified personal trainer specialising in Myofascial Release and Physical Therapy, offering a technical and performance-focused approach to training.Nic joined LAVA Fitness in May 2025 as a Kickboxing and EMS instructor and is currently training to teach Pilates. He coaches individuals at all skill levels, prioritising safety and empowering each client to achieve their personal best.
